Last year the majority of the rooms were completely re-fitted with luxury bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, deep, plush carpets and high quality memory foam beds for that all important important good nights sleep.

As Alston House Hotel is situated in an historic building, rooms do vary in shape and size but all are well appointed and comfortable. There are family rooms, doubles, singles or twins offering accommodation for up to 17 guests in total. (It would be wrong not to take this opportunity to mention that we are able to offer attractive discounted rates for group bookings.) Both fell views and garden views are available.
The house café and bar areas are very spacious with views of the fells as well as our own well-tended gardens, which feature secret, secluded areas for unwinding and relaxing.
Please note: Although the hotel is usually a very quiet and peaceful venue, Alston House is also a popular wedding/function venue.
